Apex Driving School FAQ's

Since Apex Driving School is listed on your website, does this mean they are approved by the California DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
The list of driving schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-certified by the California DMV.  You may want to call Apex Driving School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to attend a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which permit you to complete your hands-on driver training with a parent or guardian instead of enrolling in a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught driver training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a manual-shift vehicle? Will Apex Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift automobile?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of car--stick-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Apex Driving School and inform them before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads all around. Will Apex Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain community, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like Apex Driving School will include driving lessons specifically tailored to that terrain.
Can I get my California instruction permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the minimum age to obtain a learner's permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training school like Apex Driving School to learn more about the minimum age requirement in California.
Will I be required to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in San Francisco California?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to enroll in both a drivers education course as well as a driver training course.
If I need to register for a San Francisco California driving school, can Apex Driving School help?
Yes.  Apex Driving School offers driving instruction in San Francisco California.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training Apex Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
What are the requirements in San Francisco California for getting a drivers license?

Is a driver training course required in San Francisco California for me to get a drivers license?

Will California allow me to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually receive my instruction permit?
