B & S Traffic School FAQ's

How do I know if B & S Traffic School is licensed by Florida's DMV to offer driver training courses?
While we do include B & S Traffic School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether B & S Traffic School is licensed by the State of Florida.  We recommend that you either contact B & S Traffic School directly or possibly the Florida DMV to find out if B & S Traffic School is a licensed driver training school.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
I have no clue how to drive a manual-shift vehicle. What happens if B & S Traffic School makes me train on a manual-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....stick OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call B & S Traffic School and let them know before you enroll in their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you'll know for certain whether B & S Traffic School can accommodate you before you pay them any money.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads all around. Will B & S Traffic School train me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain area, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like B & S Traffic School will include behind-the-wheel driver training specifically tailored to that terrain.
Can 14-year-olds obtain learner's permits to drive in Florida?
Most states have set the minimum age for applying for an instruction permit at 15 or 15 1/2.  However, some states do allow 14-year-olds to obtain a learner's permit.  You may want to contact the Florida DMV or a Florida-approved driver training school like B & S Traffic School to find out what the minimum age to drive is in Florida.
Can I take B & S Traffic School's driver training course before taking a North Miami Beach Florida drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Florida's laws prescribe.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a defensive driving classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Florida's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course.  We recommend that you contact B & S Traffic School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
Florida's DMV has told me that I need to take a behind-the-wheel training course. Do you know if B & S Traffic School offers this course or not?
B & S Traffic School does offer the driver training course that Florida requires all new teen-aged drivers to take.  For more information about the courses B & S Traffic School offers, we recommend that you contact B & S Traffic School directly.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a Florida driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to complete both a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a safe driving classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the Florida DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to meet in order to obtain your first driver's license.
I live in North Miami Beach Florida and would like to apply for my first driver's license. Do I need to take a behind-the-wheel training course before I can be licensed?
