A-1 Driving School FAQ's

A-1 Driving School's address and phone number is listed on your webpage. How can I know for sure if it is a licensed behind the wheel training school in Nevada?
Even though we provide a list of behind-the-wheel training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is licensed by the Nevada DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact A-1 Driving School directly or check with the Nevada DMV to find out for sure if A-1 Driving School is a licensed school.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my behind-the-wheel training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught driver training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding hands-on driving instruction.
Do you know if A-1 Driving School will let me complete my driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a stick-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a manual OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact A-1 Driving School and see if they can accommodate you before registering for their driver training course.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads everywhere. Will A-1 Driving School teach me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain community, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like A-1 Driving School will include driving lessons specifically tailored to that terrain.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a instruction permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as A-1 Driving School or the Nevada DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Nevada.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Las Vegas Nevada or do I also have to successfully complete a driver training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the Nevada's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to successfully complete a driver training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
I'm required to take a driver training course in Las Vegas Nevada. Do you know if A-1 Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training classes in Las Vegas Nevada?

I live in Las Vegas Nevada. What are the requirements for me to be able to get my first Nevada driver's license?
It depends on the particular laws of Nevada, but most states require teen-aged first-time license applicants to successfully complete both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  A-1 Driving School may offer courses which would meet the driver training requirement, however you will need to contact them directly to find out exactly what types of courses they offer.
Is there a law in Nevada that requires me to take behind-the-wheel training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in Nevada requires that all teen-agers successfully complete an approved driver training course before receiving a Nevada driver's license.
Is it all right if I register with a driver training school like A-1 Driving School prior to my obtaining my learner's permit?
In most states, you are required to have already gotten your learner's permit before you sign up to take your driver training course like the one offered by A-1 Driving School.  We suggest you contact either A-1 Driving School to find out more information.
