Warsaw Driving School FAQ's

Warsaw Driving School is listed on your website as a driving school which offers driver training courses. How do I know if Warsaw Driving School is a licensed school in Illinois?
While we include a list of driving schools on our website for your convenience, we cannot guarantee that every single one of them is currently licensed by the Illinois DMV.  We suggest you contact Warsaw Driving School directly or the Illinois DMV to find out if Warsaw Driving School is a fully-accredited driver training school.
Do you know if I can do my behind-the-wheel training with my mother or father instead of attending a behind-the-wheel training course like the ones offered by Warsaw Driving School?
Some states allow teen-agers to do their behind-the-wheel training with their parents instead of attending a professional driving school.  We recommend that you contact the Illinois DMV or Warsaw Driving School directly to find out if Illinois allows parent-taught behind-the-wheel training.
What if I don't know how to drive a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does Warsaw Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll let me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a manual or an automatic, you probably should call Warsaw Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your signing up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.
Since I live way out in the country where driving on dirt roads and bumpy terrain is the norm, will Warsaw Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a remote location, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Warsaw Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and bumpy terrain.  We recommend that you contact Warsaw Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
Can I apply for my Illinois learner's permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the youngest age to obtain an instruction permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training school like Warsaw Driving School to learn more about the minimum age requirement in Illinois.
I live in Chicago Illinois. Does the law say I have to enroll in both a driver ed classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do require that new, teen-aged drivers enroll in both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
Illinois's DMV has told me that I need to take a behind-the-wheel training course. Do you know if Warsaw Driving School offers this course or not?
Warsaw Driving School does offer the behind-the-wheel training course that Illinois requires all new teen-aged drivers to take.  For more information about the courses Warsaw Driving School offers, we recommend that you contact Warsaw Driving School directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Illinois will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now require all new, young drivers to sign up to take a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a driver training course.  Warsaw Driving School may be able to help you meet the driver training requirement in Illinois.  Please contact either Warsaw Driving School or the Illinois DMV for more information.
Is hands-on driver training required in Illinois in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle?
Absolutely.  All new drivers in Illinois must take an approved hands-on driver training course before they can get a license to independently operate a motor vehicle.
Will Illinois allow me to register for a behind-the-wheel training course before I actually get my instruction permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your learner's permit before you enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course.
