Roland Park Driving School FAQ's

Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-licensed by the Maryland DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Maryland?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently certified to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Maryland.  We suggest you contact the Maryland DMV to make sure a particular driver training school is licensed before you sign up to take their driver training course.
I heard that parents can fill the role of driving supervisor in Maryland, so taking a Baltimore behind-the-wheel training course like the one Roland Park Driving School offers is not necessary. Is that true?
You should contact the Maryland DMV or a licensed driver training school like Roland Park Driving School and ask them.  While parent-taught driving instruction is permitted in some states, many states do NOT allow it.
Do you know if Roland Park Driving School will let me take my driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a manual-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a manual OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Roland Park Driving School and see if they can accommodate you before signing up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads all around. Will Roland Park Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain town, chances are that a local driving school like Roland Park Driving School will include behind-the-wheel driver training specifically tailored to that terrain.
If I'm 14, can I get an instruction permit to drive in Maryland?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Roland Park Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Maryland.
Do you know if the laws in Maryland require new teen-aged drivers to enroll in a driver training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to successfully complete a behind-the-wheel training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course.
