Precision School of Driving FAQ's

Can you tell me if Precision School of Driving is a certified driving school in New Mexico?
Although Precision School of Driving is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently certified to teach hands-on driving courses in New Mexico.  We recommend either calling Precision School of Driving directly or the New Mexico DMV to find out whether or not Precision School of Driving offers hands-on driving courses that are state-approved.
Will the New Mexico DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice as a substitute to taking a driver training course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the New Mexico DMV to find out if your behind-the-wheel driving may be done by your parents in New Mexico.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does Precision School of Driving have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll allow me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a stick-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a stick or an automatic, you probably should call Precision School of Driving to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your signing up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will Precision School of Driving be able to teach me how to drive safely on rugged terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a remote area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like Precision School of Driving will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and other types of rugged terrain.  You may wish to contact Precision School of Driving to find out exactly what their driver training course includes before signing up to take their training course.
If I'm 14, can I get a driver's permit to drive in New Mexico?
Possibly.  However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit.  We recommend that you contact the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school such as Precision School of Driving to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in New Mexico.
Do I have to take both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Albuquerque New Mexico to get my New Mexico driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers register for a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like Precision School of Driving and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
