All Star Driving School FAQ's

Is All Star Driving School a licensed driving school in Virginia?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Virginia.  We highly recommend that you contact All Star Driving School directly or the Virginia DMV to find out for sure if All Star Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that have been approved by the State of Virginia.
Will the Virginia DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice in place of taking a behind-the-wheel driving course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Virginia DMV to find out if your driver training may be done by your parents in Virginia.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a manual-shift? Does All Star Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll let me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a manual or an automatic, you probably should call All Star Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their driver training course.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are dirt roads and rugged terrain all around my house. How do I know if All Star Driving School will train me on how to drive in a remote area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since All Star Driving School is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that All Star Driving School will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rugged terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call All Star Driving School to find out exactly what's included in their behind-the-wheel training course before you sign up with them.
I'm turning 14 in a few weeks. Can I get a learner's permit to drive in Virginia after my 14th birthday?
Most likely, no.  Most states (though not all) have laws which require that you be at least 15 or 15 1/2 before to be eligible to apply for an instruction permit.  Nevertheless, you may wish to contact the Virginia DMV office or a Virginia-certified driving school such as All Star Driving School to find out for certain what the minimum driving age is in your local area.
Am I required to take a Woodbridge Virginia classroom or online drivers education course before I can register for a behind-the-wheel training course through All Star Driving School?
This requirement varies from state to state but most states do require new teen-aged drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based defensive driving course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a driver training course.  You should ask All Star Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
I have to take a behind-the-wheel class in Woodbridge Virginia before Virginia will give me my driver's license. Does All Star Driving School offer this type of course?
All Star Driving School does offer the driver training course in Woodbridge Virginia that is required by the State of Virginia.  You will need to contact All Star Driving School directly for more information about the driver courses they offer and their class schedules.
What do I need to do to get a Virginia drivers license in Woodbridge Virginia?
Most states require that teen-agers who are applying for their first driver's license complete both a safe driving classroom course and a driver training course.  All Star Driving School may be able to help you meet the behind-the-wheel training portion in Virginia.  Please contact All Star Driving School for more information.

Is it necessary for me to sign up for a driver training course in order to get my first Virginia driver's license?
Yes, it is.  All teen-aged drivers applying for their first driver's license in Virginia are required to take a state-approved driver training course.
Can I register for a Virginia behind-the-wheel training course prior to having my Virginia learners permit?
Most states require pre-licensed drivers to hold a instruction permit before being permitted to enroll in a driver training course.  You should contact a driving school like All Star Driving School and ask for more information.
