KLH Driving School FAQ's

Since KLH Driving School appears on your website, does this mean they are approved by the Washington DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
The list of driving schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-certified by the Washington DMV.  You may want to call KLH Driving School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
I've been told that either of my parents can supervise my driver training, so I don't have to attend a Redmond Washington driving school like KLH Driving School to fulfill my behind-the-wheel training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the Washington DMV or a state-approved driver training school like KLH Driving School to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does KLH Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll allow me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a stick or an automatic, you probably should call KLH Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their behind-the-wheel training course.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads everywhere. Will KLH Driving School teach me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain town, chances are that a local driving school like KLH Driving School will include driving lessons specifically tailored to that terrain. 
I just turned 14 years old. Can I apply for my instruction permit in Washington?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Washington Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as KLH Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Washington. 
I live in Redmond Washington. Does the law say I have to take both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in order to be fully-licensed here?
Each state has its own laws in regards to licensing procedures.  However, most states do mandate that new, teen-aged drivers register for both a driver training course plus either a drivers education online course or drivers education classroom course .
Washington's DMV has told me that I need to take a driver training course. Do you know if KLH Driving School offers this course or not?
