Buffalo CDL Training List FAQ's

Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-certified by the New York DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in New York?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently certified to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in New York.  We suggest you contact the New York DMV to make sure a particular driving school is licensed before you register for their driving course.
Will the New York DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice in place of taking a behind-the-wheel driving course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the New York DMV to find out if your driver training may be done by your parents in New York.
Do you know if Buffalo CDL Training List will let me take my driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a manual-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a manual OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Buffalo CDL Training List and see if they can accommodate you before registering for their driver training course.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads all around. Will Buffalo CDL Training List teach me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain community, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like Buffalo CDL Training List will include driving lessons specifically tailored to that terrain.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as Buffalo CDL Training List or the New York DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in New York.
Do I have to take both a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Buffalo New York to get my New York driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers register for a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like Buffalo CDL Training List and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
