The Learning Center Driving School FAQ's

Is The Learning Center Driving School licensed by the Louisiana DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
Although we include The Learning Center Driving School in our directory of driving schools for Reserve Louisiana, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not The Learning Center Driving School is licensed by the Louisiana DMV.  You should contact The Learning Center Driving School directly and ask them if you are thinking about signing up to take their Reserve Louisiana behind-the-wheel training class.
Could I just have my mother or father give me my behind-the-wheel training instead of paying money to enroll in a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which allow you to do your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that new drivers take a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you ask your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a stick-shift vehicle? Will The Learning Center Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift car?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of automobile--manual-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact The Learning Center Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
Since I live way out in the country where driving on dirt roads and bumpy terrain is the norm, will The Learning Center Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a non-urban environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in the country, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as The Learning Center Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on unpaved roads and rugged terrain.  We recommend that you contact The Learning Center Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
I just turned 14 years old. Can I receive my learner's permit in Louisiana?

Will I be required to complete both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in Reserve Louisiana?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to enroll in both a drivers education course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.
