Rivadavia Driving School FAQ's

Since Rivadavia Driving School appears on your website, does this mean they are approved by the California DMV to offer driver training courses?
The list of driving schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-approved by the California DMV.  You may want to call Rivadavia Driving School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Do you know if I can do my behind-the-wheel training with my mother or father instead of attending a behind-the-wheel training course like the ones offered by Rivadavia Driving School?
Some states allow teen-agers to complete their behind-the-wheel training with their parents instead of attending a professional driver training school.  We recommend that you contact the California DMV or Rivadavia Driving School directly to find out if California allows parent-taught behind-the-wheel training.
I have no clue how to drive a stick-shift vehicle. What happens if Rivadavia Driving School makes me train on a stick-shift vehicle?
Considering the fact you are a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating ANY type of vehicle....manual OR automatic!  If you prefer to do your hands-on driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle, you may want to call Rivadavia Driving School and let them know before you sign up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you'll know for sure whether Rivadavia Driving School will be able to accommodate you before you pay them any money.
What happens to those of us who live in a non-urban area? Will Rivadavia Driving School include instruction on how to drive on dirt roads, mountain roads, and other rugged?
If you live in a remote location, there is a high probability that a local driving school like Rivadavia Driving School will either want--or even be required--to tailor their instruction towards driving safely in your particular area.
Are 14-year-olds permitted to obtain a learner's permit in California?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the minimum age for which to receive a learner's permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving instruction company like Rivadavia Driving School to find out what the minimum age for driving is in California.
Do you know if the laws in California require new teen-aged drivers to successfully complete a driver training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course?
The laws vary from state to state, but many states do require you to successfully complete a behind-the-wheel training course with "hands-on" practice in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course.
If I need to register for a San Francisco California driver training program, can Rivadavia Driving School help?
Yes.  Rivadavia Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses in San Francisco California.  For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training Rivadavia Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a California driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to sign up to take both a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a safe driving classroom or online course.  You may wish to contact the California DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to fulfill in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is it necessary for me to complete a driver training course in order to get my first California driver's license?
Yes, it is.  All teen-aged drivers applying for their first driver's license in California must complete a state-approved behind-the-wheel training course.
Do I need to have my learner's permit before I sign up to take a driver training course like the one that Rivadavia Driving School offers?
