Can you tell me if Freeway Driving & Traffic School is a certified driving school in California?
Although Freeway Driving & Traffic School is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently licensed to teach driver training courses in California.  We recommend either calling Freeway Driving & Traffic School directly or the California DMV to find out whether or not Freeway Driving & Traffic School offers driver training courses that are state-approved.
I heard that parents can fill the role of driving instructor in California, so taking a Riverside behind-the-wheel training course like the one Freeway Driving & Traffic School offers is not necessary. Is that true?
You should contact the California DMV or a licensed driving school like Freeway Driving & Traffic School and ask them.  While parent-taught driving instruction is permitted in some states, many states do NOT allow it.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a stick-shift vehicle? Will Freeway Driving & Traffic School allow me to do my driver training with an automatic-shift vehicle?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of car--manual-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Freeway Driving & Traffic School and let them know before you register for their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live in a small mountain town, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with Freeway Driving & Traffic School include being taught how to drive in rural areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to know how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the driver training you receive from Freeway Driving & Traffic School will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to apply for my instruction permit in California?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training institute such as Freeway Driving & Traffic School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in California.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Riverside California or do I also have to register for a driver training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the California's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to register for a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
