CA Driver Ed Online FAQ's

Is CA Driver Ed Online a certified driving school in California?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in California.  We highly recommend that you contact CA Driver Ed Online directly or the California DMV to find out for sure if CA Driver Ed Online offers driver training courses that have been approved by the State of California.
I've been told that either of my parents can supervise my behind-the-wheel training, so I don't have to attend a San Gabriel California driving school like CA Driver Ed Online to fulfill my behind-the-wheel training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the California DMV or a state-approved driver training school like CA Driver Ed Online to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
Do I need to tell CA Driver Ed Online that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to drive a manual-shift vehicle.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift vehicle!  We recommend that you ask CA Driver Ed Online if you can complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle before you register for their driver training course.
I live in a very remote area, where there are mountains and a lot of dirt roads. Do you know if CA Driver Ed Online teaches students how to drive in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in urban areas?
Since you live in a rural area, a local driving school such as CA Driver Ed Online will tailor your driver training to handle the conditions in your area.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to get my learner's permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a instruction permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as CA Driver Ed Online or the California DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in California.
Do I have to take both a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course in San Gabriel California to get my California driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers register for a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like CA Driver Ed Online and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
I am looking to enroll in a San Gabriel California drivers education course. Can CA Driver Ed Online assist me with this?
Yes.  behind-the-wheel training courses are available in San Gabriel California through CA Driver Ed Online.  Please contact CA Driver Ed Online directly with questions regarding their schedule of classes and registration information.
What type of driver ed do I need before California will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now require all new, young drivers to enroll in a safe driving classroom or online course as well as a driver training course.  CA Driver Ed Online may be able to help you fulfill the behind-the-wheel training requirement in California.  Please contact either CA Driver Ed Online or the California DMV for more information.
Is there a law in California that says I have to take driver training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes.  State law in California requires that all teen-agers enroll in an approved behind-the-wheel training course before receiving a California driver's license.
Is it possible to enroll in a California-approved driver training course before I obtain my California learners permit?
