Sharp Eye Driving School FAQ's

Since Sharp Eye Driving School appears on your website, does this mean they've been approved by the Texas DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
The list of driver training schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-certified by the Texas DMV.  You may want to call Sharp Eye Driving School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my driver training instead of a professional driving school instructor like the ones they have at Sharp Eye Driving School?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the Texas DMV or a licensed driving school like Sharp Eye Driving School to find out if Texas allows behind-the-wheel training with a parent.
Do I need to tell Sharp Eye Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to operate a manual-shift vehicle.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile!  We recommend that you ask Sharp Eye Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle before you register for their driver training course.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are unpaved roads and bumpy terrain all around my house. How do I know if Sharp Eye Driving School will train me on how to drive in a rural area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since Sharp Eye Driving School is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that Sharp Eye Driving School will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rough terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call Sharp Eye Driving School to find out exactly what's included in their behind-the-wheel training course before you register with them.
I'm turning 14 in a few weeks. Can I get a learner's permit to drive in Texas after my 14th birthday?
Most likely, no.  Most states (though not all) have laws which require that you be at least 15 or 15 1/2 before to be eligible to apply for a learner's permit.  Nevertheless, you may wish to contact the Texas DMV office or a Texas-certified driving school such as Sharp Eye Driving School to find out for certain what the minimum driving age is in your local area.
Am I required to take a Houston Texas classroom or online drivers education course before I can sign up to take a behind-the-wheel training course through Sharp Eye Driving School?
This requirement varies from state to state but most states do require new teen-aged drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based defensive driving course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should ask Sharp Eye Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
Texas law says that I must successfully complete a behind-the-wheel training course in order to get licensed to drive in Houston Texas. Is this something that Sharp Eye Driving School can help me with?
Yes, Sharp Eye Driving School offers the Texas-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact Sharp Eye Driving School directly.
What do I need to do to get a Texas drivers license in Houston Texas?
