Cantor's Driving School FAQ's

Can you tell me if Cantor's Driving School is a licensed driving school in Nevada?
Although Cantor's Driving School is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently licensed to teach hands-on driving courses in Nevada.  We recommend either calling Cantor's Driving School directly or the Nevada DMV to find out whether or not Cantor's Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that are state-approved.
Do you know if I can do my driver training with my mother or father instead of attending a driving school like Cantor's Driving School?
Some states allow teen-agers to do their driver training with their parents instead of attending a professional driver training school.  We recommend that you contact the Nevada DMV or Cantor's Driving School directly to find out if Nevada allows parent-taught behind-the-wheel training.
Do I need to tell Cantor's Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to drive a manual-shift car.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a stick-shift OR and automatic-shift car!  We recommend that you ask Cantor's Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift car before you enroll in their driver training course.
I live in a small mountain town, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my behind-the-wheel training with Cantor's Driving School include learning how to drive in rural areas? Or do they just offer training for urban driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from Cantor's Driving School will include handling dirt roads and mountain driving.
I'm turning 14 in a few days. Can I get a instruction permit to drive in Nevada after my 14th birthday?
Most likely, no.  Most states (though not all) have laws which require that you be at least 15 or 15 1/2 before to be eligible to apply for an instruction permit.  Nevertheless, you may wish to contact the Nevada DMV office or a Nevada-certified driving school such as Cantor's Driving School to find out for certain what the minimum driving age is in your local area.
Am I required to take a Las Vegas Nevada classroom or online drivers education course before I can sign up to take a driver training course through Cantor's Driving School?
This requirement varies from state to state but most states do mandate new teen-aged drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based defensive driving course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a driver training course.  You should ask Cantor's Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
Does Cantor's Driving School provide a driver training course like the one that is required by the State of Nevada? I need to sign up for one in order to obtain my driver license.
Cantor's Driving School offers hands-on driver training courses which are approved by the Nevada DMV.  You may want to contact Cantor's Driving School directly for more information about their courses and how to go about registering for one.
What do I need to do to get a driver's license in Las Vegas Nevada?
It depends on Nevada's laws, but most states require new, teen-aged drivers to enroll in a drivers education classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  You may want to call Cantor's Driving School to see if they offer the driver training course that would satisfy the regulations set forth by the Nevada DMV.
Is a behind-the-wheel training course a prerequisite in Las Vegas Nevada for me to get a drivers license?
The law in Nevada requires that all drivers complete a behind-the-wheel training course as part of their driver education.  You should contact Cantor's Driving School directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Do I have to obtain my learner's permit in Nevada before I am allowed to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course like the one Cantor's Driving School gives its students?
