Revo Driving School FAQ's

Since Revo Driving School appears on your website, does this mean they've been approved by the Virginia DMV to offer driver training courses?
The list of driving schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-approved by the Virginia DMV.  You may want to call Revo Driving School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Will the Virginia DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice as a substitute to taking a behind-the-wheel driving course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Virginia DMV to find out if your driver training may be done by your parents in Virginia.
What if I don't know how to drive a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does Revo Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll allow me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a manual or an automatic, you probably should call Revo Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their driver training course.
Since I live way out in a remote location where driving on dirt roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will Revo Driving School be able to teach me how to drive in a non-urban environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a rural area, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as Revo Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and bumpy terrain.  We recommend that you contact Revo Driving School directly to find out exactly what they offer.
Can I apply for my Virginia instruction permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the youngest age to obtain a learner's permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving instruction school like Revo Driving School to learn more about the minimum age requirement in Virginia.
Do I have to take a Alexandria Virginia classroom or online drivers education course before I can sign up to take a driver training course through Revo Driving School?
This requirement varies by state but most states do mandate pre-licensed drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based defensive driving course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a behind-the-wheel training course.  You should ask Revo Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
Virginia law says that I must enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course in order to get licensed to drive in Alexandria Virginia. Is this something that Revo Driving School can help me with?
Yes, Revo Driving School offers the Virginia-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact Revo Driving School directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Virginia will give me a driver's license?
