N. Control Driving School FAQ's

Since N. Control Driving School is listed on your website, does this mean they've been approved by the Arizona DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
The list of driver training schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-certified by the Arizona DMV.  You may want to call N. Control Driving School directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my behind-the-wheel training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for taking a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
What if I don't know how to drive a manual-shift automobile? Does N. Control Driving School have automatic-shift vehicles that I can drive when I do my behind-the-wheel training?
If you're taking a Gilbert Arizona driver training class, chances are you don't know how to drive ANY vehicle yet-- stick or automatic.  However, if you prefer an automatic vehicle then you should tell N. Control Driving School that prior to registering for the course in order to make sure they can accommodate you.
I live in a very rural area, where there are mountains and a lot of unpaved roads. Do you know if N. Control Driving School teaches students how to drive in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in urban areas?
Since you live in a remote area, a local driving school such as N. Control Driving School will tailor your behind-the-wheel training to handle the conditions in your area.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a learner's permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as N. Control Driving School or the Arizona DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Arizona.
Will I be required to sign up for both a drivers education classroom or online course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Gilbert Arizona?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now mandate new teen-aged drivers to register for both a drivers education course as well as a driver training course.
