Dadriving School, Inc. FAQ's

Dadriving School, Inc. is listed on your website as a driving school which offers driver training courses. How do I know if Dadriving School, Inc. is a certified school in Texas?
While we include a list of driving schools on our website for your convenience, we cannot guarantee that every single one of them is currently licensed by the Texas DMV.  We suggest you contact Dadriving School, Inc. directly or the Texas DMV to find out if Dadriving School, Inc. is a fully-accredited driving school.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding hands-on driving instruction.
Do you know if Dadriving School, Inc. will let me take my driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know anything about using a stick-shift.
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know a whole lot about driving ANY type of vehicle, be it a stick OR an automatic!  Nevertheless, if you have a preference, you probably should contact Dadriving School, Inc. and see if they can accommodate you before registering for their behind-the-wheel training course.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are dirt roads and bumpy terrain all around my house. How do I know if Dadriving School, Inc. will train me on how to drive in a rural area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since Dadriving School, Inc. is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that Dadriving School, Inc. will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rough terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call Dadriving School, Inc. to find out exactly what's included in their behind-the-wheel training course before you sign up with them.
Are 14-year-olds allowed to apply for a learner's permit in Texas?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the minimum age for which to receive a learner's permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school like Dadriving School, Inc. to find out what the minimum age for driving is in Texas.
Do I have to take a Dallas Texas classroom or online drivers education course before I can enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course through Dadriving School, Inc.?
This requirement varies by state but most states do mandate new teen-aged drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based defensive driving course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a driver training course.  You should ask Dadriving School, Inc. if they offer one or both programs.

What type of driver ed do I need before Texas will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now require all new, young drivers to enroll in a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  Dadriving School, Inc. may be able to help you meet the behind-the-wheel training requirement in Texas.  Please contact either Dadriving School, Inc. or the Texas DMV for more information.
