Latinos Defensive Driving FAQ's

Since Latinos Defensive Driving is listed on your website, does this mean they are approved by the Texas DMV to offer driver training courses?
The list of driving schools on our webpage is provided as a convenience to our customers only.  We CANNOT guarantee that every single school listed is fully-approved by the Texas DMV.  You may want to call Latinos Defensive Driving directly to find out if they offer a state-certified behind-the-wheel training course.
Will the Texas DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice in place of taking a driver training course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Texas DMV to find out if your behind-the-wheel driving may be done by your parents in Texas.
I don't know how to drive using a manual-shift. Will Latinos Defensive Driving have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a Dallas Texas driver training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a manual-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Latinos Defensive Driving know what your preference is before enrolling in their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will Latinos Defensive Driving be able to teach me how to drive safely on rugged terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a remote area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like Latinos Defensive Driving will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and other types of bumpy terrain.  You may wish to contact Latinos Defensive Driving to find out exactly what their behind-the-wheel training course includes before enrolling in their training course.
Are 14-year-olds eligible to apply for a instruction permit in Texas?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the youngest age for which to receive an instruction permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school like Latinos Defensive Driving to find out what the minimum age for driving is in Texas.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Dallas Texas or do I also have to register for a driver training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the Texas's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to register for a driver training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
