A2B Driving School FAQ's

How do I know if A2B Driving School is certified by Texas's DMV to offer driver training courses?
While we do include A2B Driving School's contact information in our driving school directory, we cannot say with certainty as to whether A2B Driving School is certified by the State of Texas.  We recommend that you either contact A2B Driving School directly or possibly the Texas DMV to find out if A2B Driving School is a certified driver training school.
I've been told that either of my parents can monitor my driver training, so I don't have to attend a El Paso Texas driving school like A2B Driving School to fulfill my behind-the-wheel training requirement. Do you know if that's true or not?
You will need to contact the Texas DMV or a state-approved driver training school like A2B Driving School to find out.  Some states do allow parent-taught driving, but many states do not.
What happens if I don't know how to operate a stick-shift vehicle? Will A2B Driving School allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift car?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating any type of vehicle--stick-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact A2B Driving School and inform them before you sign up to take their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I don't live anywhere near a city. There are dirt roads and bumpy terrain all around my house. How do I know if A2B Driving School will train me on how to drive in a remote area like where I live and not just teach me how to drive in a town-or city-type environment?
Since A2B Driving School is a local driver training company in your area, it's a safe bet that A2B Driving School will be motivated (or perhaps required) to teach its local customers how to drive on rough terrain.  If you want to make certain, however, you may want to call A2B Driving School to find out exactly what's included in their driver training course before you sign up with them.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to apply for my learner's permit in Texas?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as A2B Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Texas.
Will I be required to enroll in both a drivers education classroom or online course and a driver training course in El Paso Texas?
It depends on which state you live in, but many states now require new teen-aged drivers to register for both a drivers education course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.
Texas law says that I must enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course in order to get licensed to drive in El Paso Texas. Is this something that A2B Driving School can help me with?
Yes, A2B Driving School offers the Texas-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  For more information about their classes and instruction schedule, please contact A2B Driving School directly.
What type of driver ed do I need before Texas will give me a driver's license?
Each state has its own requirements concerning drivers education, although you should know that most states now mandate all new, young drivers to register for a drivers education classroom or online course as well as a driver training course.  A2B Driving School may be able to help you meet the driver training requirement in Texas.  Please contact either A2B Driving School or the Texas DMV for more information.
Is a behind-the-wheel training course a prerequisite in El Paso Texas for me to get a drivers license?
The law in Texas requires that all drivers complete a driver training course as part of their driver education.  You should contact A2B Driving School directly to find out about the types of courses they offer.
Will Texas allow me to enroll in a driver training course before I actually get my learner's permit?
You will need to contact your state's DMV office to find out.  However, most states require that you receive your learner's permit before you enroll in a driver training course.
