All Ages Driving School FAQ's

Is All Ages Driving School an approved driving school in Texas?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Texas.  We highly recommend that you contact All Ages Driving School directly or the Texas DMV to find out for sure if All Ages Driving School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that have been approved by the State of Texas.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding hands-on driving instruction.
Do I need to tell All Ages Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift vehicle? I don't know how to drive a stick-shift automobile.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a stick-shift OR and automatic-shift automobile!  We recommend that you ask All Ages Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift car before you sign up to take their driver training course.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads everywhere. Will All Ages Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain community, chances are that a local driving school like All Ages Driving School will include driving lessons specifically tailored to that terrain.
After I turn 14, will I be eligible to obtain my instruction permit so I can begin to learn how to drive?
It depends on which state you live in, however most states unfortunately require you to be at least 15 (or sometimes 15 1/2) before you can be issued a instruction permit.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training school such as All Ages Driving School or the Texas DMV office to learn more about the minimum age requirement for driving in Texas.
Do I have to take both a defensive driving classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course in Houston Texas to get my Texas driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers register for a drivers education classroom course and a behind-the-wheel training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like All Ages Driving School and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.
I am looking to register for a Houston Texas drivers education course. Can All Ages Driving School assist me with this?
Yes.  behind-the-wheel training courses are available in Houston Texas through All Ages Driving School.  Please contact All Ages Driving School directly with questions regarding their schedule of classes and registration information.
What do I need to do to get a driver's license in Houston Texas?
