Tomball & Magnolia Driving School FAQ's

Can you tell me if Tomball & Magnolia Driving School is a licensed driving school in Texas?
Although Tomball & Magnolia Driving School is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently licensed to teach hands-on driving courses in Texas.  We recommend either calling Tomball & Magnolia Driving School directly or the Texas DMV to find out whether or not Tomball & Magnolia Driving School offers driver training courses that are state-approved.
Could I just have my mother or father teach me how to drive instead of paying money to take a professional driver training course?
It depends on which state you live in.  There are some states which permit you to complete your behind-the-wheel training with a parent or guardian instead of attending a professional driving school.  However many states require that first-time drivers take a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you check with your state's DMV office to find out if your parent or guardian can fill the role as your behind-the-wheel driving instructor.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a stick-shift vehicle? Will Tomball & Magnolia Driving School allow me to do my driver training with an automatic-shift automobile?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating any type of vehicle--manual-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Tomball & Magnolia Driving School and inform them before you enroll in their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads all around. Will Tomball & Magnolia Driving School train me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain town, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like Tomball & Magnolia Driving School will include behind-the-wheel driver training specifically tailored to that terrain.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to receive my instruction permit in Texas?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Tomball & Magnolia Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Texas.
Can I take Tomball & Magnolia Driving School's behind-the-wheel training course before taking a Tomball Texas defensive driving classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Texas's laws prescribe.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a drivers education classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Texas's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved behind-the-wheel training course.  We recommend that you contact Tomball & Magnolia Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
I have to complete a safe driving class in Tomball Texas before Texas will give me my driver's license. Does Tomball & Magnolia Driving School offer this type of course?
Tomball & Magnolia Driving School does offer the driver training course in Tomball Texas that is required by the State of Texas.  You will need to contact Tomball & Magnolia Driving School directly for more information about the driver courses they offer and their class schedules.
What type of driver ed do I need before Texas will give me a driver's license?

Is hands-on driver training required in Texas in order to be licensed to operate a motor vehicle?
