Is ISP Driving Academy certified by the Idaho DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses?
Although we include ISP Driving Academy in our directory of driving schools for Post Falls Idaho, we cannot make any assurances about whether or not ISP Driving Academy is certified by the Idaho DMV.  You should contact ISP Driving Academy directly and ask them if you are thinking about signing up to take their Post Falls Idaho behind-the-wheel training class.
Is it true that my mom or dad can be my driving instructor when I do my behind-the-wheel training instead of a professional driving school instructor like the ones they have at ISP Driving Academy?
It depends on what your state's laws are.  You should contact the Idaho DMV or a licensed driving school like ISP Driving Academy to find out if Idaho allows behind-the-wheel training with a parent.
What happens if I don't know how to operate a stick-shift vehicle? Will ISP Driving Academy allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift car?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of vehicle--stick-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your driver training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact ISP Driving Academy and inform them before you enroll in their driver training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
Since I live way out in a rural area where driving on dirt roads and rugged terrain is the norm, will ISP Driving Academy be able to teach me how to drive in a rural environment? Or do they only prepare you for city-driving?
Since you live in a remote location, odds are that any local driving school in your area such as ISP Driving Academy will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and bumpy terrain.  We recommend that you contact ISP Driving Academy directly to find out exactly what they offer.
I just turned 14 years old. Can I receive my learner's permit in Idaho?
Probably not.  The minimum age requirement for holding an instruction permit in most states is 15 1/2.  You should contact the Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driver training institute such as ISP Driving Academy to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in Idaho.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Post Falls Idaho or do I also have to take a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the Idaho's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to register for a driver training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
