Northern Kentucky Driving School FAQ's

Northern Kentucky Driving School's address and phone number is listed on your webpage. How can I know for sure if it is a licensed behind the wheel training school in Kentucky?
Even though we provide a list of behind-the-wheel training schools on our website, we have no way of knowing for sure as to whether or not a particular school is licensed by the Kentucky DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses.  We strongly suggest that you contact Northern Kentucky Driving School directly or check with the Kentucky DMV to find out for sure if Northern Kentucky Driving School is a licensed school.
Will the Kentucky DMV allow my parents to supervise my driving practice instead of requiring me to take a behind-the-wheel training course at a state-approved driving school?
Possibly.  Some states will allow your parents to supervise your driving practice in place of taking a behind-the-wheel driving course with a professional driving instructor.  You will need to contact the Kentucky DMV to find out if your behind-the-wheel driving may be done by your parents in Kentucky.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will Northern Kentucky Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a Cold Spring Kentucky behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let Northern Kentucky Driving School know what your preference is before enrolling in their behind-the-wheel class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
The area in which I live is mostly undeveloped--very few paved roads and mountains are all around. Will Northern Kentucky Driving School be able to teach me how to drive safely on rugged terrain as well as in a city or town?
Considering that you live in a rural area, chances are excellent that a local driving school like Northern Kentucky Driving School will want you to be able to drive safely on dirt roads and other types of bumpy terrain.  You may wish to contact Northern Kentucky Driving School to find out exactly what their driver training course includes before registering for their training course.
Are 14-year-olds eligible to apply for a instruction permit in Kentucky?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the minimum age for which to hold an instruction permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the Kentucky Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a certified driving school like Northern Kentucky Driving School to find out what the minimum age for driving is in Kentucky.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Cold Spring Kentucky or do I also have to take a driver training class with a professional driving instructor?
It depends on what the Kentucky's laws require, but many states do mandate that new, young drivers to enroll in a driver training class with a professional driving instructor as well as a drivers education classroom or online course.
Kentucky's DMV has told me that I need to take a driver training course. Do you know if Northern Kentucky Driving School offers this course or not?
Northern Kentucky Driving School does offer the behind-the-wheel training course that Kentucky requires all new teen-aged drivers to take.  For more information about the courses Northern Kentucky Driving School offers, we recommend that you contact Northern Kentucky Driving School directly.
