A & B Driving School FAQ's

Are all the driving schools listed on your website fully-licensed by the Missouri DMV to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Missouri?
The driving school directory on our website is for your convenience only, and we cannot absolutely guarantee that every driving school listed is currently licensed to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in Missouri.  We suggest you contact the Missouri DMV to make sure a particular driver training school is accredited before you register for their driver training course.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in Missouri?
Each state has its own rules regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised behind-the-wheel training as a substitute for attending a driver training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the Missouri DMV to find out for sure.
I don't know how to drive using a stick-shift. Will A & B Driving School have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my driver training?
Since you're enrolling in a Rocheport Missouri behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a stick-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let A & B Driving School know what your preference is before enrolling in their behind-the-wheel class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
I live out in the middle of nowhere. There are rural and mountain roads all around. Will A & B Driving School teach me how to drive in BOTH rural AND city areas?
If you live in a rural or mountain community, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like A & B Driving School will include driving lessons specifically tailored to that terrain.
Can 14-year-olds get learner's permits to drive in Missouri?
Most states have set the minimum age for applying for a learner's permit at 15 or 15 1/2.  However, some states do allow 14-year-olds to obtain an instruction permit.  You may want to contact the Missouri DMV or a Missouri-approved driver training school like A & B Driving School to find out what the minimum age to drive is in Missouri.
Can I take A & B Driving School's driver training course before taking a Rocheport Missouri drivers education classroom course or online course?
It depends on what Missouri's laws prescribe.  However, you should know that most states will require teen-aged, first-time drivers to complete both a defensive driving classroom course (which are approximately 30 hours in length, depending on Missouri's laws) or an approved online course, plus a state-approved driver training course.  We recommend that you contact A & B Driving School directly to see if they offer either (or both) of these courses.
Does A & B Driving School provide a driver training course like the one that is required by the State of Missouri? I need to register for one in order to obtain my driver license.
A & B Driving School offers hands-on driver training courses which are approved by the Missouri DMV.  You may want to contact A & B Driving School directly for more information about their courses and how to go about registering for one.
Exactly what type of driver training do I need in Rocheport Missouri before I can get my Missouri driver's license?
The prerequisites for getting a driver's licenses vary from state to state, however most states now require teen-agers who are looking to get their first driver's license to enroll in a drivers education classroom course as well as a behind-the-wheel training course.  We suggest that you contact a local driver training company such as A & B Driving School and ask if they offer a Missouri-approved  behind-the-wheel training course which would fulfill Missouri's driver's education requirements.
Is there a law in Missouri that requires me to take driver training in order to get my driver's license?
