Can you tell me if Behind The Wheel is a licensed driving school in North Dakota?
Although Behind The Wheel is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently certified to teach driver training courses in North Dakota.  We recommend either calling Behind The Wheel directly or the North Dakota DMV to find out whether or not Behind The Wheel offers driver training courses that are state-approved.
Do you know if I can complete my driver training with my mother or father instead of attending a driving school like Behind The Wheel?
Some states allow teen-agers to complete their behind-the-wheel training with their parents instead of attending a professional driver training school.  We recommend that you contact the North Dakota DMV or Behind The Wheel directly to find out if North Dakota allows parent-taught behind-the-wheel training.
What happens if I don't know how to operate a manual-shift vehicle? Will Behind The Wheel allow me to do my behind-the-wheel training with an automatic-shift automobile?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about operating any type of automobile--manual-shift or automatic-shift!  However, if you prefer to complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact Behind The Wheel and inform them before you sign up to take their behind-the-wheel training course.  That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live in a rural area, that has a lot of dirt roads and rugged terrain. Will Behind The Wheel train me how to drive in BOTH city AND rural environments?
If you live in a remote area, chances are very good that a local driving school like Behind The Wheel will want you to be trained in driving specific to the local area's terrain.
Can I get my North Dakota learner's permit once I turn 14?
Most likely, no.  Most states have set the youngest age to obtain an instruction permit at 15 or 15½.  You may want to contact the North Dakota Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving instruction school like Behind The Wheel to learn more about the minimum age requirement in North Dakota.
Is taking a drivers education course in a classroom or online sufficient in Carrington North Dakota or do I also have to take a behind-the-wheel training class with a professional driving instructor?
