First Class Driving Academy FAQ's

Can you tell me if First Class Driving Academy is a certified driver training school in Ohio?
Although First Class Driving Academy is listed on our list of driving schools in your area, we are unable to say with certainty as to whether they are currently approved to teach driver training courses in Ohio.  We recommend either calling First Class Driving Academy directly or the Ohio DMV to find out whether or not First Class Driving Academy offers driver training courses that are state-approved.
I heard that parents can fill the role of driving supervisor in Ohio, so taking a Grove City driving school course like the one First Class Driving Academy offers is not necessary. Is that true?
You should contact the Ohio DMV or a licensed driver training school like First Class Driving Academy and ask them.  While parent-taught driving instruction is permitted in some states, many states do NOT allow it.
I don't know how to drive using a manual-shift. Will First Class Driving Academy have an automatic-shift car available that I can use for my behind-the-wheel training?
Since you're enrolling in a Grove City Ohio behind-the-wheel training class, chances are good that you don't know how to drive either a manual-shift OR an automatic!  However, you should let First Class Driving Academy know what your preference is before signing up to take their driver class.  That way you'll know for sure they will accommodate you.
I live in a small mountain community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with First Class Driving Academy include learning how to drive in remote areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area.  Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from First Class Driving Academy will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
Are 14-year-olds eligible to obtain a instruction permit in Ohio?
Although a few states allow teen-agers to begin practicing how to drive at 14, most states have set the youngest age for which to receive an instruction permit at either 15 or 15½.  You will need to contact the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving instruction company like First Class Driving Academy to find out what the minimum age for driving is in Ohio.
Do I have to take both a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course in Grove City Ohio to get my Ohio driver's license?
The laws vary depending on which state you live in, but most states do require that pre-licensed drivers register for a drivers education classroom course and a driver training course.  You may want to call a driving instruction company like First Class Driving Academy and find out if they offer either (or both) of these programs.

What type of driver ed do I need before Ohio will give me a driver's license?
