Deerfield Community Driving School FAQ's

Is Deerfield Community Driving School an approved driving school in New Hampshire?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in New Hampshire.  We highly recommend that you contact Deerfield Community Driving School directly or the New Hampshire DMV to find out for sure if Deerfield Community Driving School offers hands-on driving courses that have been approved by the State of New Hampshire.
Somebody told me that I can skip out of attending a driver training school if my parents give me behind-the-wheel training instead. Is that permissible in New Hampshire?
Each state has its own laws regarding behind-the-wheel training.  Some states will allow parentally-supervised behind-the-wheel training as a substitute for enrolling in a driver training course which is taught by a professional driving instructor.  However, not all states allow this.  You should contact the New Hampshire DMV to find out for sure.
What if I don't know how to operate a vehicle with a stick-shift? Does Deerfield Community Driving School have an automatic-shift vehicle they'll allow me train with?
Since you're just learning how to drive, you probably don't know how to operate either a manual-shift or an automatic-shift vehicle!  However, if you have a preference as to a stick or an automatic, you probably should call Deerfield Community Driving School to see if they can accommodate your request prior to your enrolling in their behind-the-wheel training course.

If you live in a rural or mountain town, chances are that a local driving instruction institute like Deerfield Community Driving School will include behind-the-wheel driver training specifically tailored to that terrain.
I'm turning 14 in a few months. Can I get a learner's permit to drive in New Hampshire after my 14th birthday?
Most likely, no.  Most states (though not all) have laws which require that you be at least 15 or 15 1/2 before to be eligible to apply for a learner's permit.  Nevertheless, you may wish to contact the New Hampshire DMV office or a New Hampshire-certified driving school such as Deerfield Community Driving School to find out for certain what the minimum driving age is in your local area.
Do you know if the laws in New Hampshire require new teen-aged drivers to enroll in a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course?
